LOLOL.
Danielle ended up cutting my hair about a good 2.5 inches shorter than where I wanted it to be. I guess this is what happens when I was so nonchalant while she was snipping away my tresses. Last night and this morning, I told myself that the haircut wasn’t so bad but after walking back from linguistics to my dorm, I suddenly realized exactly how short my hair really is. I can’t say I’m super happy with the haircut nor can I say I’m super unhappy; it’s just somewhere in the middle. Change doesn’t come easy for me so this definitely will take some time to get used to. You get what you paid for and well…I paid nothing. LOL
I went straight to Ang’s room after class and she tried curling it to make it look better. She just told me that everyone get’s dramatic cuts (some for the better, some for the worse) and eventually everything grows out. In retrospect, I wish I dyed my hair first and wore it long for a few days before going under the scissors but I’m not trippin too much. Bitching about this won’t do anything because in the end, especially after seeing Jenny ahyi go through chemo, I’m pretty darn blessed to have a head full of hair.
Afterall, hair is just…hair. Everything is a learning lesson and I now know that I can’t rock hella short hair. Whatevz doeeeee.
P.S. I’m actually really excited for my hair to leave this awkward stage and into the length I originally wanted my locks to be at. But until then, I’m here. heh
